Caboches in Pottage
Spiced cabbage & onion - contributed by Monica Gaudio
  • 1 head of cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 leeks, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/8 tsp. cardamom and coriander
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. saffron (optional)
Bring all ingredients to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes. (If you use instant beef broth, omit the salt.)
