Wine Sauce

DESCRIPTION: A sauce of wine, currants, broth, & spices

  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 Tbs. currants
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • pinch saffron
Bring to a boil the wine, currants, saffron, & sugar. Reduce heat. Add the ginger and chicken broth and allow to simmer for a few minutes. Serve over chicken.
