DESCRIPTION: A compound salad of lettuce, cucumbers, fruit, & nuts in red wine vinegar & sugar


In a large bowl set down a layer of lettuce (varieties such as Romaine, Boston, & Endive are best). On top lay thin cucumber slices, orange & apple slices, almonds, walnuts, raisins, & currants. Sprinkle on lemon juice, orange juice, red wine vinegar, & sugar. Repeat procedure with several layers until bowl is filled.
